Caitlin began her lacrosse career in her hometown of Winter Springs, FL. After 3 years as a Varsity athlete at Winter Springs High School, she received a 4-year athletic scholarship to play at Queens University of Charlotte. While starting all four years as a midfielder for the Royals, Caitlin was also chosen to be team captain for her Senior season. Among her many awards were Best Female Student Athlete, Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team, Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference, and the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Caitlin was also a regional finalist for the Conference Carolinas NCAA Woman of the Year in 2011. She has coached various camps and teams in the Charlotte area, along with working as an intern for LaxManiax. Caitlin currently works in administration at Davidson Day School where she also is the Head Coach for the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse Team. Caitlin started coaching with the Stars in the Fall of 2011.

Madeline Bromley was named Assistant Lacrosse Coach in June 2021.

Bromley spent the 2020 and 2021 season as head coach Julika Blankenship’s graduate assistant following a solid four-year collegiate career at Coastal Carolina.

Bromley was a four-year starter for the Chanticleers, where she ranks 2nd all-time in assists, 3rd all-time in points and 7th in goals scored. In 2019, Bromley became the first Chanticleer to be named the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She also earned ASUN All-Academic team honors in 2018 and 2019 and was named ASUN Second Team All-Conference following her senior season.

The Cary, N.C. native earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Winthrop University in May 2021. Fall 2021 will be Madeline’s first season coaching with Ultimate CLT.

Britt Brown began her lacrosse career playing at Riverdale Country School in New York City and Berkshire school, a boarding school in Massachusetts, where she received four varsity letters, a New York State Championship (2011), and a New England Class B Championship (2012). Britt began her college career at the University of Virginia, and appeared in three games during the 2014 season where the Cavaliers made it to the Final Four. After taking the 2015 season off, she decided to continue her lacrosse career at the University of Pennsylvania where she started her junior and senior year. During her junior campaign, she started all 18 games for the Quakers where she led the Ivy League in GAA (7.71), which ranked No. 9 in the country. She was No.3 in the Ivy League and No. 13 in the country in saver percentage (.490). She was honorable mention for All-Ivy. During her senior year, Britt started all 17 games where she was Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week three times, lead the Ivy League and ranked No. 4 in GAA (8.40), and second in the Ivy League and No. 3 in the country in save percentage (.540). She was named to the IWLCA first-time All-Region and second-team All Ivy. Upon graduation, Britt earned her B.A. in History from Penn and moved down to Charlotte to begin her career in investment banking. She began coaching with QCS the summer of 2018.

Carlee Buck is from Penn Yan, NY where she lettered in soccer & basketball, and was named a US Lacrosse All-American at Penn Yan Academy. She attended Stony Brook University where she started all 65 games for the Seawolves. She ended her career as the all-time leader in points and assists, finishing with 92 goals, 133 assists and 225 points. Buck was an American East All-Rookie Selection, a First Team selection twice, and was the NCAA DI statistical champion for assists per game in 2005. Buck graduated from Stony Brook in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Buck is entering her fifth year as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Lenoir-Rhyne University. During the 2018 season, Buck was named the South Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Bears to their first ever Regular Season Championship and a perfect 8-0 mark in league play. Buck led the Bears to a 12-11 win over Queens to become the first SAC team to beat the Royals in league play in history. Under Buck, Ines Flueck was selected the SAC Player of the Year and three others were named to the First Team All-Conference.

Prior to LR, Buck served as the Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator at Limestone College from 2013-16. While on staff, the Saints went 68-10, earned a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship, and won four straight Conference Carolinas Championships. In addition, Buck helped coach 15 players who earned IWLCA All-America honors.

Before Limestone, Buck coached at Fresno State in Fresno, California (2009-2012) and helped start their program. She was an assistant coach for three years, in addition to serving as interim head coach for the 2011 season.

Buck also coached and taught Physical Education at St. Margaret’s School in England from 2007-2008.

She worked with the AC Lacrosse Club Middle School and High School Teams from 2016-2020 and helped start and direct the Saints Lacrosse Club from 2014-2016. She has been involved with youth and high school lacrosse development in both SC and NC since relocating to the Carolinas and is a CWLOA Collegiate Rated Official.

Carlee started coaching with Queen City Stars in the summer of 2020.

Talene Bush, originally from Boston Massachusetts, began her lacrosse career in 6th grade. She went to Winchester High School and served as the captain for three varsity sports; field hockey, skiing, and lacrosse. From there, Talene took her lacrosse career to Dickinson College in PA, where she started as a midfielder. She served as captain her senior year, leading her team to the conference tournament and earned IWLCA Academic Honors 4 consecutive years. Talene graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017, with a BA in Economics, and now works in investment banking at Wells Fargo. Talene started coaching with QCS in the summer of 2019.

Kelly Dowd, originally from Stony Point, NY, began playing lacrosse in 6th grade. She went to North Rockland High School where her team won their first ever Section Championship her junior year in 2012. After graduating in 2013, she continued her lacrosse career at Queens University of Charlotte. Kelly captured team Most Valuable Player honor as a senior and also served as a team captain her senior year. She made the SAC All-Tournament team all four seasons of her career and was recognized with several Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards. A four-time All-South Atlantic Conference selection (three first-team, one second-team), Dowd is Queens all-time leader in draw controls with 210. She was a two-time all-region choice by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. She was named second-team All-American as a senior. She graduated from Queens in 2017 with a degree in Interior Design and Architecture. Kelly is the assistant coach at Belmont Abbey College and has coached with QCS since 2017.

Kylie Eastman, originally from Mechanicsville, Virginia, began playing lacrosse in 9th grade where she played all 4 years on varsity. After graduating in 2017, she decided to continue her lacrosse career at Belmont Abbey College. Kylie was team captain her Junior and Senior year, as well as capturing multiple conference player of the week awards and the IWLCA national player of the week award. She earned first team all conference her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. Additionally, In her Sophomore year of college she had the most points in all of division II with 91 goals and 40 assists, resulting in 131 points in one season. Kylie led the nation in points and assists her Senior year as well. She also broke Belmont Abbey’s total career points and career assists, with 344 points and 135 assists, respectively. In her final year at the Abbey, she was awarded the conference Carolinas player of the year award.

This will be Kylie’s first year coaching for QCS and she is joining the Belmont Abbey women’s lacrosse staff in the fall.

Kristi Kemp began her career in high school in Lake Mary, FL. She played 2 years of Varsity at Lake Mary High School then transferred to play 2 years of Varsity at Winter Springs High School. She was part of the Southeast National Team in 2007 and was named Second Team High School All American her senior year. She was recruited to play at Queens University of Charlotte as a midfielder and played all four years. As a senior, Kristi was named team captain and earned Second Team All-Conference. She graduated from Queens in May of 2012 with a degree in Biology.  In May 2016, she received a degree in Nursing from Mercy School of Nursing and currently works as a Registered Nurse at CMC Main in the Neurosurgical ICU while also serving as an assistant varsity coach at Charlotte Country Day School. Kristi started her career as a QCS/Ultimate CLT coach in the Fall of 2014.

Flannery Nangle, originally from Auburn NY, was a four-year varsity starter for Auburn High School. She was the New York Class AA leading scorer during her junior season, was named a U.S. All-American her senior season, and was selected team MVP and first-team all-Central New York in both her junior and senior seasons. Flannery was recruited to play for the University for Notre Dame, where, despite suffering two season-ending knee injuries, was a two-time Monogram Winner, two-time Big East All-Academic team member, and three-time NCAA championship participant. She graduated with a degree in business administration in 2012 and began a career in marketing in Boston, where she continued to stay involved with the sport, coaching lacrosse with the New England Twisters club team. After moving to Charlotte, Flannery began coaching with the QCS/Ultimate CLT in the fall of 2018.

Sophia Sgroi played High School lacrosse at Newton Country Day School in Newton MA where she earned New England Pre School Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year during her senior year in 2015. Sophia continued her career at Davidson College in Davidson NC. While at Davidson College, Sophia saw action all four years and finished her career with 68 goals, 20 assists, and 192 draw controls. She spent her first three years at Davidson as a midfielder and finished her final season starting every game as an attacker. During her final year, Sophia was a Captain for the Wildcats and set the new single season record for draw controls with a personal best of 110 and ended her career with 192, good for second place on the all-time record books.

Sophia graduated with a degree in Communication Studies in May of 2019. Sophia is currently working at Red Ventures in Fort Mill SC as a Strategic Digital Marketing Analyst.

Sophia started coaching with QCS/Ultimate CLT in the summer of 2019.
