Recruiting-Specific FAQs
ULTIMATE Lacrosse is one of the only clubs in the country that has multiple resources dedicated to helping high school players navigate the recruiting process. Our resources are listed below:
Katy O’Mara, Director of Recruiting, SOUTH + MN (Full - Time)
Maddie Dachowski, Director of Recruiting, NORTH (Full - Time)
ULTIMATE Lacrosse is responsible for guiding players through the recruiting process. This includes hosting webinars for overall information, 1:1 meetings to provide feedback and guidance on creating and editing school lists, video feedback, email feedback and playing feedback. We want our players and families to be success and we are very hands on with the support that we provide.
As a member of ULTIMATE Lacrosse, you will have Premium access to IWLCA Sports Recruits. This is the number one recruiting platform that NCAA Women's Lacrosse programs utilize. The platform allows our teams to have standardized communication with college coaches and we can more easily monitor the communication our players have with college coaches.
Our Sophomores and Juniors will be given a profile for SportsRecruits at the appropriate time in the recruiting process. Additionally, we require that players are actively involved in the recruiting process in order to stay current and maintain their SportsRecruits profile. We require this so that our recruiting directors know where, where, and how to focus their day-to-day efforts. We do not have our Freshman on the platform because college coaches are not looking at that film and we want to showcase film closer to their recruitable age. Sophomores can expect to get a SportsRecruits profile as early as spring of sophomore year - this is player dependent and is part of the overall recruiting assessment. Juniors active in the process can expect to have a SportsRecruits profile for the entirety of their junior year until they commit. Once a player has committed, we reduce access from Premium to Standard for all players so that we can allocate club resources efficiently.
In short, yes. At ULTIMATE Lacrosse we attend the most competitive recruiting tournaments. We tailor our tournament schedule to ensure our teams are playing in front of the best college coaches and against the best players.
No, not every player needs to want to play in college to play at ULTIMATE Lacrosse. We develop and challenge our players to reach their full potential so that they can fully and confidently pursue a playing career in college if they want to. We give all players the tools they need!
