For Class of 2027 lacrosse players, the traditional club schedule may be winding down, but development does not have to stop.

Ultimate Minnesota is launching the Ultimate MN Alumni 2027 Team, a dedicated training and competition program designed to help 2027 players continue developing their game and preparing for what comes next.

The team will bring together ALL 2027s from Any Program, with the opportunity to include other Class of 2027 players who currently do not have a consistent place to train and compete.

Players will train twice per week throughout the fall, winter, and summer, providing the consistency needed to continue building skills, athleticism, and game readiness. The program will also feature dedicated speed training with Antwan Walker, helping athletes improve the movement, explosiveness, and conditioning needed to compete at the next level.

Competition will continue throughout the year. The team plans to attend one Fall/Winter tournament, either Presidents Cup or Sandstorm, compete in a Winter 6v6 League, and participate in local summer scrimmages. An additional summer tournament may also be added based on player interest.

The goal is simple: give 2027 players a place to keep getting better.

Instead of losing access to consistent training during an important stage of their development, players can continue working alongside motivated teammates while preparing for their senior seasons and future collegiate opportunities.

Interested players and families can contact Peter at peter@ultimategoallacrosse.com for additional information.

A: In Minnesota, there are fewer consistent club training opportunities after the summer following junior year. This program fills that gap so 2027 players can continue developing and competing as they prepare for college or their final high school season.

A: No. The program is designed for Class of 2027 athletes who want to continue serious training and competition. That can include committed college players as well as players who are still working toward their next opportunity.

A: Not necessarily. The team is being built around former Ultimate MN and Team MN 2027 players, but Ultimate plans to open opportunities to other 2027 athletes who currently do not have a place to consistently train and compete.

A: Players can expect one to two practices per week during the fall, winter, and summer, along with a winter 6v6 league and two tournaments. The schedule is intentionally focused on continued development without recreating a full traditional youth club season.

A: The transition to college lacrosse comes with faster play, stronger athletes, and higher expectations. Consistent training and competition can help players maintain their skills, conditioning, decision-making, and game readiness instead of going through a long development gap before arriving on campus.
