Sam Carey comes to ultimate Charlotte this season after working at a DIII school. She is a 2020 graduate from Campbell University. While Sam was at Campbell she was a two-time all Big South honoree, multiple preseason honoree, and a four year member of the Presidential Honor Roll. Sam is currently teaching and coaching at Charlotte Catholic High School. While Sam worked at a NCAA Division III school she worked directly with recruiting and development of lacrosse.

Fall 2022 is Samantha’s first season coaching with Ultimate CLT.

Katherine started playing lacrosse at a young age. She was a four-year varsity starter at South Mecklenburg High School and was voted captain her last three years. Katherine was a part of the Women’s Lacrosse team at Belmont Abbey where she graduated in Spring 2020 with a major in sports management and a minor in business. Katherine is now working for Coldwell Bank Realtor and the assistant women’s lacrosse coach at South Mecklenburg High School.

Katherine started coaching with Ultimate CLT in the summer or 2022.

Cassy is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. She played varsity lacrosse at Sycamore High School, winning the state championship her senior year. She moved on to play for the inaugural, division one lacrosse team at Gardner-Webb University where she also served as a team captain. She played attack freshman year, then began her sophomore year as a first-time goalie after the team’s goalie transferred schools. During her season as goalie, she was second in the nation for saves and third in the nation for saves per game. Cassy finished her last year as an attacker and graduated early with a degree in Business Administration and later completed her MBA.

Cassy currently works for Bank of America as a Stress Testing Analyst, and this will be her first season with Ultimate.

Jillian Mitrecic is originally from Ocean City, Maryland where she played lacrosse for Stephen Decatur High School, graduating in 2017. After graduating, she continued her lacrosse career at Queens University of Charlotte. At Queens, Jillian appeared in 44 games and was a two year starter, earning the title of captain her senior year. She helped lead her team to their 7th consecutive SAC Championship and first ever NCAA National Championship game, the first time in program history.

Jillian graduated from Queens in 2021 with a degree in Multimedia Storytelling and a minor in Graphic Design. Jillian currently works at Pinckney Marketing as an Account Coordinator.
